In the early 1980's Art volunteered with the Hanover Life Squad as an Advanced EMT. He spent many days and nights responding to accidents and calls for help.
Art is a proponent of a clean environment. He has an Adopt-a-Highway for the Lawnmower Repair Shop and and his Masonic Lodge. He also started several Adopt-a-Highways for the Butler County Sheriff's Office.
Art has volunteered at the Butler County Fair as the announcer for the Demolition Derby for the past 24 years.
